Happy Valentine's Day (+ Photo shoot)

Hi everyone!:) Happy Valentine's day, today I thought I would do a photoshoot with these dolls (or characters) that seemed the most "Valentinesy" (and romantic). In order of Appearance:

Aphrodite from Greek Mythology

Katrina Van Tassel from Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (even though her story is technically a Halloween story, I thought she would like to be in the photo shoot).

Freya from Norse Mythology

Here is the photo shoot (Unlike the other photo shoots I have done, I will be including facts about the characters instead of talking about the photos.):

Aphrodite 

                           

                            Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. She was born out the sea and one of the most famous paintings of her is The Birth of Venus (Venus is her Roman name). Her son Eros (aka Cupid) is a big part of Valentine's Day. He in fact shows up on a lot of cards, and decorations.
Aphrodite also has a girdle that will make the wearer more beautiful.




                                       Katrina Van Tassel 

       Katrina is a character from Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
             She is part of the romantic subplot of the novella, and even though she doesn't get much       attention in the book, several movie versions have developed her character.
            Katrina is often portrayed as a beautiful, slightly mischievous person
          (who is also the catalyst of the whole conflict between Ichabod and Brom.)
       
         


                                  Freya 
                       

                           

      Freya is the Norse goddess of love, beauty, and war. She has a charriot pulled by cats, and wears a necklace that she never takes off. The necklace is so beautiful that even the god Loki tried to steal it.

My doll's New Year's Resolutions 2018

Happy New Year's everyone!:) To celebrate my dolls made their own New Year's resolutions:

                     Willow's Resolution

               

                      Willow from Tracey comes to visit parts 1 & 2 

                               

"Um...Well I'd like to reach my goals...such as coming up with good nicknames for everyone (I am in the process of making a list of them)." 

                   Aphrodite's Resolution

                             

                           Aphrodite from Greek Mythology 

              

           "Well...I want to start a huge clothing store that sells jewelry, and fancy dresses!" 

                 Dr. Crusher's Resolution

                   

            

Dr. Crusher from Star Trek the Next Generation 

"Help more of my patients this new year." 


                          Hermione's Resolution 

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter 

"Study more, get good grades, and win the House Cup! 
It's pretty much the same as last year." 



                                   Ichabod's resolution  

    Ichabod Crane from Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow 

"Well...first of all, I would like to eventually marry Katrina Van Tassel, and get Brom Bones off my back...and that is it." 


                                   Tauriel's resolution 

Tauriel from The Hobbit movies 

"Protect my loved ones (against orcs and trolls) 

and earn Thranduil's trust (again), and stay true to my heart." 

Legolas's Resolution

Legolas from Lord of The Rings 

"Win a orc hunting contest against Gilmli." 

Annabeth's Resolution 

Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson 

                        "Have one of my architecture designs made into a building."

Don't you just love this time of year? (post by Aphrodite)

Hi everyone, Blondie made a post last year for Thanksgiving. This year though, I, Aphrodite, have decided to make a post of what I am thankful for like Blondie did, except well...less food more interesting things like clothes...and love.

               What I  (Aphrodite) am thankful for: 

               Clothes- Of course, who can live without them? The answer is no one... they keep you warm, and well they look awesome on you. I, myself, like togas. 

          Love- Another thing you can't live without is love. It is impossible to go a day without loving something (at least in my mind). 

       Fashion- You might think this is the same thing as clothes, but it is not. Fashion and clothes are slightly different and, fashion defines clothing, and helps make it better! 

Mirrors- Mirrors are one of my favorite things, if you didn't know that. And I am so thankful for them, because when I am styling my hair, I can see it!

My red hair- I am very thankful for it. I love it's long red locks.
