What's Happening in This Picture #2 (+ Winning Caption)

Hello everyone!

I haven't done this series in a long time; the last time I did it was in 2018. So, I decided I wanted to revive this series. I can't remember who won the voting on the last caption, given that I did the poll a really long time ago. So, I have just chosen one caption at random:

             Winning caption by Theincompetenthuman:

Aphrodite: "Girls don't take that much time with full-length gowns nowadays. It's a shame they SKIRT around the issue. I'm not trying to sugarCOAT this, but this really is quite a HEEL"

                      The new photo to caption:

What are Z and Tenney doing? Why is Tenney holding her pencil towards the camera like that? Why is Z taking a photo of her? Submit your captions down below in the comments, and I will select my favorite ones. Then we will vote on which caption should be the winning one after that. 😉

Hekate (a photo shoot)

Hekate (or Hecate) is the Greek goddess of witchcraft (among other things, cross-roads, and ghosts), so I thought she was the perfect doll to do a photoshoot for especially during this time of the year. The goddess, Hekate also appears in William Shakespeare's play, Macbeth (known to superstitious actors as The Scottish Play). But often times she is cut from the play and replaced with a normal witch.

(Image from wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hecate#/media/File:Relief_triplicate_Hekate_marble,_Hadrian_clasicism,_Prague_Kinsky,_NM-H10_4742,_140995.jpg)

I ended up making a doll of Hekate, however I'm not sure I'm done customizing this doll, given that Hekate is a triple goddess. So I may find a way to make her look a little bit more like the Greek goddess above in the future, but for now...

On to the photoshoot!

I really like the way this photo turned out, especially with the blurred background behind her.

The leaves have recently started falling from the trees, so I thought
they made the perfect backdrop.

I like the angle of this photo.

Which photo is your favorite? And do you have a favorite Greek god/goddess or line from Macbeth

Have a Happy Halloween!

Happy Mother's Day from The Queen of the Gods (Post by Hera)

Hello mortals, as queen of the gods, and mother of Hephaestus, Hebe, and Ares,
I was asked to write a post for this holiday "Mother's Day" or "Mothers' Day".
Anyway, Zeus, if you are listening, you will know that today will be your least your favorite day!

My favorite things to do during Mother's Day

-Torture my husband's other children, send a snake* or two, or make someone insane.
- Complain to Disney about their movie adaptation of the Twelve Labors of Hercules, and tell them that I am not and will never be the mother of Hercules!
- Revolt against Zeus. Remember that the Fates said there would be a downfall, my little cuckoo**? Well, I may be leading it, you never know.
-Send the many other demigod daughters, sons, grandson-son things (I'm not even going to ask) of Zeus on many labors, which hopefully they will fail.... Hopefully....
-Spend time with Hebe and my other children, and tell them how much I love them, and apologize to Hephaestus for throwing him off Mt. Olympus.***
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What are some of your favorite things to do on Mother's Day? Have you ever tried to overthrow the annoying King of the Gods?

Farewell Mortals,
Hera, Queen of the Gods.

P.S.  Aphrodite won the golden apple contest that said she was the fairest, but that doesn't mean I'm not the best mother! If there was another golden apple contest that said To the Best Mother I would win for sure!

Notes for mentions of mythology:
*Hera sent snakes in order to kill Hercules. She failed, since Hercules killed the snakes.
**Zeus disguised himself as a cuckoo in order to woo Hera and succeeded in the end.
*** When Hephaestus was born, Hera thought he was ugly and threw him off Mt. Olympus.

Q's Creative Corner's Blogiversary (post by Dr. Crusher)

Hello blog readers,
I was asked to write a blog post for Q's Creative Corner's Blogiversary.
This seemed like an interesting task so I accepted.

I did some research and the first blog post was made on the 30th of March in the year 2016.
Which for me is very long ago, since I live in the 2300s. :)
Anyway getting back to reality, I am supposed to talk about the blog itself.

So I'll start by interviewing the other people who have posted on this blog,
starting with Legolas Greenleaf.

My text color: Blue

Legolas's text color: Green

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

Ummm....Umm...That's a difficult question. Is there a reason why you brought me here? Am I getting sick?

You are not, Legolas, don't worry. I'll make the question easier to answer. What do you like most about the blog?

About, the blog...oh...um, the color. The color is what I like.

The color?

Yes, the blue is beautiful.

I agree with you on that. Anyway, what was posting on the blog like for you?

Stressful.

Why?

I had to write a blog post about my father...it was incredibly difficult, considering what he has done. Also, is this a patient-doctor thing?

Legolas, this is a blog post.

Yes, but you can keep this as patient doctor privilege?

Legolas, if you want I can erase it.

No, don't. Or else you won't have anything to post.

Alright?

Anyway, I do have to go...um, hunt orcs...

Well, that was my interview with Legolas.

Next person, I mean goddess to interview is Aphrodite.

My text color is the same as before.
But Aphrodite's is pink

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

Not that I am not popular among mortals, but, I thought it was wonderful to post on this "blog", because I got even more popular among mortals, and I found that they needed a goddess to make a post for Eros's special day.

Interesting, and what do you like most about Q's Creative Corner in general?

The fact that I show up in the posts.

Okay...
Are you excited for Q's Creative Corner's "Blogiversary"?

If it involves me, then yes, if not no...

You do realize you're in a blog post for it right?

Oh, of course I do, then to answer your question I am excited.

Also, has your son, Wesley developed any romantic relationships yet, Beverly?

Aphrodite, that is a personal question, anyway moving on...

Has he?

Aphrodite, even if you're a goddess I will not be answering a personal question...
this interview is finished.

Next person I will be interviewing is Apple White.

As usual my text color is the same
while hers is Purple

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

The fact that I get to respond to comments, really, comments are so fun to respond to...

I can see why you think they are. So, what's your favorite thing about Q's Creative Corner in general?

Hmmm...I don't know, I guess...the comments section.

Okay...

And I really do have to go, I have a dance to get to, see you later, Dr. Crusher!

As you can see my interview with Apple was cut short, but for my next interview I will be interviewing Esmeralda...

Her text color will be Yellow

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

Getting to show the blog viewers my animal pet shop, with all its cute creatures ranging from dragons to winged cats. Oh and go to Avalor's pet shop, you might find a pet you like! It's located in Avalor, you could find a pet that you love--

Umm...I don't think you were supposed to advertise your shop.

Sorry, anyway, do you have a second question for me to answer?

Okay, what's your favorite thing about Q's Creative Corner in general?

Hmmm....the fact that I was able to give a tour of my pet shop. It felt so good and got more customers...

That's wonderful.

*Animal noises sound in the background* I should probably go take care of them, anyway thank you, and happy blogiversary to Q's Creative Corner.

My final interview will be with the town schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, his text color will be Gray

H-hello, is this where the interview is supposed to take place? D-did you make sure there were no ghosts, goblins, hob goblins--

Don't worry I checked...

Also is there a reason why you're interviewing us in Sickbay? Did the people before me catch some sort of illness and you didn't want to scare them because you--

No, they didn't have an illness, don't worry.

But do I!?

You don't...

Check me just in case!

*sighs and brings out Tricorder* No, you don't have an illness...
Anyway, what did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

You are saying that in a past tense, am I going to die!?

*sighs* No, Ichabod you're not *shows him the scans*

Oh...thank goodness.

I'll ask it in a different way, what do you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

I like...that I got to warn everyone reading my"post" that Halloween is a scary and dangerous holiday that you must be careful when walking around during that night.

Alright. So what's your favorite thing about Q's Creative Corner in general?

Umm...I didn't really look at it. I was kind of busy....with, um, Katrina.

Alright? But what do you like most about the concept of it?

Oh, I find it interesting that the person running the "blog" shares aspects of our lives with the world. Perhaps that will help me court Katrina better and...

Ichabod, you do realize everyone will hear what you just said about Katrina? Right?

Well, Brom never showed his face on the "blog", I find that cowardly for the town hero, not to want to even appear on Q's Creative Corner. So, don't remove that, I think Brom deserves to know. Since the "blog readers" might think I should marry the beautiful Katrina...

Alright. So, are you excited for Q's Creative Corner's blogiversary?

Yes, I am, since it is on not on Halloween! Halloween is the worst time of the year, but the blogiversary is in fact in glorious March...but, I should really be going, I have to...um, court Katrina.

This was my last interview for today, I should probably mention the they got kind of weird after a while, but... I'll leave you with a conversational question for the comments section.

Happy Valentine's Day (Post by Aphrodite)

Hello people of the internet, it's Aphrodite, and I thought today that I should make a "blog" post for Valentine's Day, the day my son Eros (aka Cupid) gets to make everyone fall in love with people, and sometimes random objects. Anyway getting to the point, Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays, so I'd thought it was a good idea to make a list of ways I like to celebrate:

1.Making people fall in love (Eros likes doing this, too).
2. Magically making Valentines (partly because I do not have as much talent in art as Athena, but do not tell her that).
3. Wearing my magic girdle that Hephaestus made, it makes me even more beautiful.
4. Listening to the Muses' playing love ballads.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you like to do on Valentine's Day? Feel free to comment below with your answer.

Doll Photography #8

Hi everyone,
I think today is a perfect day to do a Doll Photography post,
let's begin:

I like the way this picture of Hestia looks.

I like the way her dress looks against the bricks.

Even though this photo of Esmeralda is a little too bright,
I still like the angle of it.

One thing I like about this photo is that you can see the texture of the flower.

                             ----------------------------------------------------------------------
                                Which photo is your favorite?

                              -Quinley

P.S. I had a American Girl doll story which I wrote and took pictures for, however, I lost a part of it, and until I find the part I lost I can't post it...but when I find it, I will post it. Since it may take me some time to find it, I probably will post the final part of Tracy Comes to Visit, before then.

Doll Photography #6

Hi everyone,
Today I decided I should do a doll photography post.

Here are the pictures:

This picture of Felicity's eye never made it into the photoshoot.
But I like the way her eye looks.

I really like the way the glass looks in this picture of Hera.

This picture of Z is being used as my header!:)

Even though the lighting in this picture isn't the best (since I think it was taken at night),
I like how the shadows work in the photo.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which picture is your favorite?

Love,
Quinley

P. S. I am planning to continue the "What's Happening in This Picture,"
however, I need more captions. You can leave a caption here.

Doll photography 1#

I have been trying to get into the habit of taking photos of my dolls everyday...
These posts will be very similar to the drawing posts I have on my writing blog, though I will still do photo shoots and photo stories.

Here are some of the photos I took:

                                 A photo I took of Cerise's shoes...
I have to say it was fun to take.

A photo of Tracey, it turned out well...
And the lighting in the background is pretty.
This photo of Belle for some reason never got into
the photo shoot  even though it was one of my favorite
photos I have taken of her.

I think this photo of Tauriel turned out well...

I like the angle of this photo.

A photo of Blondie's ring... (Unfortunately, it doesn't make the wearer of it invisible...
on the other hand if it did that, then I would be losing my dolls all over the place because I couldn't see them.)

A photo of Hera...
I like her pose in this photo.

------------------------------------------

Which photo is your favorite?

Love,
Quinley
