What's Happening in This Picture #2 (+ Winning Caption)

Hello everyone!

I haven't done this series in a long time; the last time I did it was in 2018. So, I decided I wanted to revive this series. I can't remember who won the voting on the last caption, given that I did the poll a really long time ago. So, I have just chosen one caption at random:

             Winning caption by Theincompetenthuman:

Aphrodite: "Girls don't take that much time with full-length gowns nowadays. It's a shame they SKIRT around the issue. I'm not trying to sugarCOAT this, but this really is quite a HEEL"

                      The new photo to caption:

What are Z and Tenney doing? Why is Tenney holding her pencil towards the camera like that? Why is Z taking a photo of her? Submit your captions down below in the comments, and I will select my favorite ones. Then we will vote on which caption should be the winning one after that. 😉

Q's Creative Corner's Blogiversary (post by Dr. Crusher)

Hello blog readers,
I was asked to write a blog post for Q's Creative Corner's Blogiversary.
This seemed like an interesting task so I accepted.

I did some research and the first blog post was made on the 30th of March in the year 2016.
Which for me is very long ago, since I live in the 2300s. :)
Anyway getting back to reality, I am supposed to talk about the blog itself.

So I'll start by interviewing the other people who have posted on this blog,
starting with Legolas Greenleaf.

My text color: Blue

Legolas's text color: Green

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

Ummm....Umm...That's a difficult question. Is there a reason why you brought me here? Am I getting sick?

You are not, Legolas, don't worry. I'll make the question easier to answer. What do you like most about the blog?

About, the blog...oh...um, the color. The color is what I like.

The color?

Yes, the blue is beautiful.

I agree with you on that. Anyway, what was posting on the blog like for you?

Stressful.

Why?

I had to write a blog post about my father...it was incredibly difficult, considering what he has done. Also, is this a patient-doctor thing?

Legolas, this is a blog post.

Yes, but you can keep this as patient doctor privilege?

Legolas, if you want I can erase it.

No, don't. Or else you won't have anything to post.

Alright?

Anyway, I do have to go...um, hunt orcs...

Well, that was my interview with Legolas.

Next person, I mean goddess to interview is Aphrodite.

My text color is the same as before.
But Aphrodite's is pink

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

Not that I am not popular among mortals, but, I thought it was wonderful to post on this "blog", because I got even more popular among mortals, and I found that they needed a goddess to make a post for Eros's special day.

Interesting, and what do you like most about Q's Creative Corner in general?

The fact that I show up in the posts.

Okay...
Are you excited for Q's Creative Corner's "Blogiversary"?

If it involves me, then yes, if not no...

You do realize you're in a blog post for it right?

Oh, of course I do, then to answer your question I am excited.

Also, has your son, Wesley developed any romantic relationships yet, Beverly?

Aphrodite, that is a personal question, anyway moving on...

Has he?

Aphrodite, even if you're a goddess I will not be answering a personal question...
this interview is finished.

Next person I will be interviewing is Apple White.

As usual my text color is the same
while hers is Purple

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

The fact that I get to respond to comments, really, comments are so fun to respond to...

I can see why you think they are. So, what's your favorite thing about Q's Creative Corner in general?

Hmmm...I don't know, I guess...the comments section.

Okay...

And I really do have to go, I have a dance to get to, see you later, Dr. Crusher!

As you can see my interview with Apple was cut short, but for my next interview I will be interviewing Esmeralda...

Her text color will be Yellow

What did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

Getting to show the blog viewers my animal pet shop, with all its cute creatures ranging from dragons to winged cats. Oh and go to Avalor's pet shop, you might find a pet you like! It's located in Avalor, you could find a pet that you love--

Umm...I don't think you were supposed to advertise your shop.

Sorry, anyway, do you have a second question for me to answer?

Okay, what's your favorite thing about Q's Creative Corner in general?

Hmmm....the fact that I was able to give a tour of my pet shop. It felt so good and got more customers...

That's wonderful.

*Animal noises sound in the background* I should probably go take care of them, anyway thank you, and happy blogiversary to Q's Creative Corner.

My final interview will be with the town schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, his text color will be Gray

H-hello, is this where the interview is supposed to take place? D-did you make sure there were no ghosts, goblins, hob goblins--

Don't worry I checked...

Also is there a reason why you're interviewing us in Sickbay? Did the people before me catch some sort of illness and you didn't want to scare them because you--

No, they didn't have an illness, don't worry.

But do I!?

You don't...

Check me just in case!

*sighs and brings out Tricorder* No, you don't have an illness...
Anyway, what did you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

You are saying that in a past tense, am I going to die!?

*sighs* No, Ichabod you're not *shows him the scans*

Oh...thank goodness.

I'll ask it in a different way, what do you like most about posting on Q's Creative Corner?

I like...that I got to warn everyone reading my"post" that Halloween is a scary and dangerous holiday that you must be careful when walking around during that night.

Alright. So what's your favorite thing about Q's Creative Corner in general?

Umm...I didn't really look at it. I was kind of busy....with, um, Katrina.

Alright? But what do you like most about the concept of it?

Oh, I find it interesting that the person running the "blog" shares aspects of our lives with the world. Perhaps that will help me court Katrina better and...

Ichabod, you do realize everyone will hear what you just said about Katrina? Right?

Well, Brom never showed his face on the "blog", I find that cowardly for the town hero, not to want to even appear on Q's Creative Corner. So, don't remove that, I think Brom deserves to know. Since the "blog readers" might think I should marry the beautiful Katrina...

Alright. So, are you excited for Q's Creative Corner's blogiversary?

Yes, I am, since it is on not on Halloween! Halloween is the worst time of the year, but the blogiversary is in fact in glorious March...but, I should really be going, I have to...um, court Katrina.

This was my last interview for today, I should probably mention the they got kind of weird after a while, but... I'll leave you with a conversational question for the comments section.

Happy Valentine's Day (Post by Aphrodite)

Hello people of the internet, it's Aphrodite, and I thought today that I should make a "blog" post for Valentine's Day, the day my son Eros (aka Cupid) gets to make everyone fall in love with people, and sometimes random objects. Anyway getting to the point, Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays, so I'd thought it was a good idea to make a list of ways I like to celebrate:

1.Making people fall in love (Eros likes doing this, too).
2. Magically making Valentines (partly because I do not have as much talent in art as Athena, but do not tell her that).
3. Wearing my magic girdle that Hephaestus made, it makes me even more beautiful.
4. Listening to the Muses' playing love ballads.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you like to do on Valentine's Day? Feel free to comment below with your answer.

What's Happening In This Picture? #2 (Favorite Captions and Voting.)

Hello everyone,

Here are my favorite captions from this round:

From anonymous:

It's Fall! Another season, another toga...I am so tired of wearing togas. Thousands of years, thousands of togas. Is it true, as Artemis says, that no one will know who I am, if I appear to them in a ball gown? She doesn't wear a toga, she wears her hunting outfit, as dreary as that is, and people still know who she is. I want color! Pink! Purple! I want lace, I want fluff. Which goes better with my beautiful red hair? To be continued....

From Theincompetenthuman:

Girls don't take that much time with full-length gowns nowadays. It's a shame they SKIRT around the issue. I'm not trying to sugarCOAT this, but this really is quite a HEEL.

From anonymous (2):

Here are my two invisible sisters! Of course, they aren't dressed as well as I am, but aren't they fashionable? I am so glad that my hair is not invisible. Just imagine if you had to spend hours in the morning getting it fixed and no one ever saw it!

--------------------------------------------
Which Caption is your favorite?

There won't really be a time when the poll ends, but it will eventually end.
Love,
Quinley

Happy Valentine's Day (+ Photo shoot)

Hi everyone!:) Happy Valentine's day, today I thought I would do a photoshoot with these dolls (or characters) that seemed the most "Valentinesy" (and romantic). In order of Appearance:

Aphrodite from Greek Mythology

Katrina Van Tassel from Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (even though her story is technically a Halloween story, I thought she would like to be in the photo shoot).

Freya from Norse Mythology

Here is the photo shoot (Unlike the other photo shoots I have done, I will be including facts about the characters instead of talking about the photos.):

Aphrodite

Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. She was born out the sea and one of the most famous paintings of her is The Birth of Venus (Venus is her Roman name). Her son Eros (aka Cupid) is a big part of Valentine's Day. He in fact shows up on a lot of cards, and decorations.
Aphrodite also has a girdle that will make the wearer more beautiful.

                                       Katrina Van Tassel

Katrina is a character from Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
She is part of the romantic subplot of the novella, and even though she doesn't get much       attention in the book, several movie versions have developed her character.
Katrina is often portrayed as a beautiful, slightly mischievous person
(who is also the catalyst of the whole conflict between Ichabod and Brom.)

                                  Freya

Freya is the Norse goddess of love, beauty, and war. She has a charriot pulled by cats, and wears a necklace that she never takes off. The necklace is so beautiful that even the god Loki tried to steal it.

My dolls wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which photo is your favorite? And which character is your favorite?

I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day,
-Quinley

Don't you just love this time of year? (post by Aphrodite)

Hi everyone, Blondie made a post last year for Thanksgiving. This year though, I, Aphrodite, have decided to make a post of what I am thankful for like Blondie did, except well...less food more interesting things like clothes...and love.

What I  (Aphrodite) am thankful for:

Clothes- Of course, who can live without them? The answer is no one... they keep you warm, and well they look awesome on you. I, myself, like togas.

Love- Another thing you can't live without is love. It is impossible to go a day without loving something (at least in my mind).

Fashion- You might think this is the same thing as clothes, but it is not. Fashion and clothes are slightly different and, fashion defines clothing, and helps make it better!

Mirrors- Mirrors are one of my favorite things, if you didn't know that. And I am so thankful for them, because when I am styling my hair, I can see it!

My red hair- I am very thankful for it. I love it's long red locks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you thankful for? Comment below with your answer.
Love,
-Aphrodite
P.S. Note from Quinley: Maybe next year Aphrodite should do a Valentine's Day themed post (on Valentine's Day), but she was very excited to do a Thanksgiving post, so I let her make one.

What's happening in this picture 2# (+ Winning Caption)

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I have done
                                   What's Happening in This Picture?
Most recently one of the captions won
(which is the one you will see below).

I tried to put most of what was in the caption into the picture, but the caption was long!:)
I said something similar to what Liz says when someone's caption wins in Annabeth's speech bubble.

 Here is the winning caption:

click on the picture to see the words better!:)
The winning caption by Anoymous:

"My ears hurt!" said Legolas.
"Well, if you didn't want people tugging on your ears all night, you should have gone as something other than an elf!" said Hermione.
"At least they just wanted to know how you got your ear tips to stay on. Everyone kept asking me about my mom and whether or not Percy was coming..." said Annabeth.
"I know how that feels, whenever I wear my Gryffindor robes, everyone wants to know where Harry is or if I can make something levitate!" said Hermione.
"Well, you looked beautiful tonight as Belle!" said Annabeth. "But Legolas, you really need to remember that you're not in Middle Earth anymore. It was a party and it was supposed to be fun. You really scared that boy in the Orc costume, when you shot the arrow across the room. You scared me, too! I'm glad Hermione brought her wand and froze the arrow in mid-air!"
"And I'm glad everyone thought it was just an illusion," said Hermione, "I don't like having to do magic in front of a bunch of muggles!"

And a brand new picture for you to caption!:
What is Aphrodite thinking or saying?

Tracey comes to visit (Part 1)

Hi everyone, here is the story I promised:
In this story Willow's cousin Tracey is coming to visit. She is from "Reality" a land without magic, and Willow lives in a land where stories are real... and no one from reality is supposed to know that. I was partly inspired by the captions from this post

Here's the story:

(Note- I didn't have the time to make a computer room for my dolls or had a doll computer handy so instead I just took pictures of willow as if she were looking at a computer even though you don't see it.)

Willow sat in the library, in the computer room (which was in fact a very small room with a computer). She hardly saw anyone in the room there, and if she did, it was because they were looking at “Fan Fictions” that were for some reason written about them. She had heard that authors from “Reality” had written these stories, but she had gotten some very weird responses when she had tried to find out about them. Willow was in the computer room, because her cousin Tracey (who lived in the land called “Reality”) and other family members sent her what are called “emails” and not hand written letters like everyone else did…. in fact Willow thought she was the only person who really knew how to use a “computer.”
Willow was staring at the message Tracey had sent her:

Dear Willow,
it is wonderful to hear from you, and your friends Hermione, Annabeth, and Louis. I am doing well. How about you?

Willow smiled, she was definitely excited to tell Tracey what Hermione, Annabeth, and Legolas had done recently (Willow hadn’t told her cousin that Louis’ real name was Legolas, so Tracey wouldn't know he was the actual character from Lord of the Rings). Willow hadn’t mentioned Tauriel, who was one of her best friends, because she couldn’t think of a good code-name yet that sounded like Tauriel’s real name.
Willow continued reading:

Anyway I thought it would be a good time to visit you, after all I haven’t seen you in a very long time. And I have longed to see you in person rather than talking through email. I will be coming on the 20th.

Love your cousin,

-Tracey
Willow didn’t know what to do, she was sure Tracey would find out everything, after all Tracey wrote fan fictions…And loved many different stories. and would probably find out that all the stories were real…She sighed

, suddenly the door opened and in walked Hermione. At first Willow didn’t recognize her because of the yellow ball gown she was wearing, and the fact that her hair was nicely curled and brushed, unlike how it usually was. She was carrying a stack of books, books Willow assumed were for school.

“Hermione is that you? I almost mistook you for Belle!” said Willow turning around.
“Yes,” answered Hermione. “I know! People have been mistaking me for Belle all day!”
Willow and Hermione stared at each other for a moment…Finally Willow spoke:
“Why are you wearing a ball gown?”
Hermione sighed… then said:

“Aphrodite kind of replaced all my clothes in my wardrobe with ball gowns…and the only comfortable one I could find was from the Hogwart’s Ball.”

She pointed to the yellow gown she was wearing. “But, I was wondering if you were alright?" Hermione asked Willow. "You have been in here for a couple hours.”

Willow sighed and shook her head.

“No I am not alright…” Willow said. “Tracey is coming to visit, and you see she can’t because she’s from ‘Reality’ and no one from Reality is allowed to come here.”

we're doomed!

Then Willow burst into sobs of “We’re doomed, I’m doomed!!! Tracey can’t visit, but I wish she could!”

Finally Willow stopped sobbing, and let go of Hermione. “Y-you understand right?” half-sobbed Willow
Hermione nodded… There was a long silence in the room, neither Willow nor Hermione spoke but finally Hermione broke the silence,

“I may have solution…And it may just work…”

            to be continued…
                           ---------------------------------------

I hope you enjoyed the story. I can't wait to write the next part.

What do you think Hermione's plan is? And do you think it will work?

        Love,
       -Quinley
