Magic is in the Air (A Lyrical Photo Shoot)

It's been a while since I did a lyrical photo shoot, so I thought I would do one with Emerson. Let's begin:

Many aren't brave enough to believe in magic,
I find it rather tragic,
Because if you walk through life,
Full of strife,
You will never have a glimmer of hope lighting your way

Instead you will have stress and worries leading you astray.

I try to see the magic in the world around me,
I believe there are fairies living in the old oak tree,
And a mermaid who set a fisherman's boat free.

I believe magic exists everywhere,
And that it is in the very air.

People just don't want to believe

But unlike them, I will believe.

I will believe in the unbelievable,
I will believe in the unseeable.

Believe in ghosts and the fay,
In the vast array,
of fantastical beasts.

But in the very least,
I will be strong enough to believe in...
magic.

What's your favorite fantastical creature? (Emerson's favorite is of course a unicorn)
And what is your favorite photo or verse from the lyrical photo shoot?

The Psychic (A Lyrical Photo Shoot)

Happy Halloween everyone!
Here is a lyrical photo shoot I made to celebrate. The poem is about a ghost and psychic girl being friends:

I always knew from the beginning,
That the veil between the dead and living was thinning,
I could see what others couldn't see...

And that was meant to be.
I never felt alone,
Not in a bad way should I say,
For I had a friend that I would see from day to day,
She was sweet,
She was kind,
And I would often think about her at the back of my mind,

I could see and feel what others couldn't,
Maybe even that some wouldn't,

I never prided myself on that,
Because it is simply just a simple fact,

I could see those who I had lost,
To the other side had crossed...

...And I would often see her,
The leafs around me would stir,
And I could see and feel her,

People claim to be able to see these visions,
Usually you will know it is false if their story has gone through several revisions,

What I saw though isn't fake,
If it was, I am sure a ghost's heart would break,

It is real,
I know because I feel...

She often gently squeezes my hand,
which makes me feel quite glad,

Even though she is made out of thin air,
She is both beautiful and fair,

People wonder why I spend time alone,
The truth is even when I am alone,
I am not really alone...

For she is here with me.

Morning Yoga (A Lyrical Photo Shoot)

Hello everyone, I thought I would do another lyrical photo shoot, and I am giving people time to leave captions on this post. On with the photo shoot, the poem was inspired by my experience with yoga:

Your hair in a ponytail is tied,
Thoughts in your mind flied,

Thinking about the things you've done,
Mistakes you've frowned upon,
How life continues to go on

You take a deep breath,
Letting the breath remove what little thoughts you have left,
Disappear into the depth,
Of your mind,

Meditation is the key,
From life's sufferings to be free,
You place your leg upon your knee,
And imagine yourself becoming a tree,

You stretch,
Feeling like you will get your body to its best,
Breathing deeper with every breath,
Your mind sometimes moves,
But you tune it out with tunes,
of Ooo, ah, and eee,
And your mind feels free,

You sit with your legs curved,
Your body no longer feels nervous or unnerved,
With that you clasp your hands together,
Feeling much better,
You then say "Namaste!"
And are ready for the rest of your day!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Have you ever done yoga? If so, what is your favorite yoga pose?

The Reluctant Hero (A Lyrical Photo Shoot)

 Hello everyone,

I thought it would be fun to do another lyrical photo shoot, but with one of my Lord of the Rings dolls, Legolas. Though I doubt his name will be Legolas given, that I already have a doll with that name. So if you have any name suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway onto the photoshoot:

Many adventures were sought,
But all they did was bring wrought,
Who would want to join such an expedition?
It doesn't even seem like a favorable mission,
monsters are about,
And with a sword, out of fear, you will act out,

So why instead can't I live a country life?
Instead of running at a monster with a knife?
Why can't I be a gardener instead of an archer?

What if I wanted the life of a garden instead of a battlefield?
A shovel I'd rather yield,
Then a sword,
The pen is mightier than the sword but they don't even give me a word,

So instead of fighting a war,
I'll do the thing that is considered a chore,
nurture the nature,
Which with hope I'd capture,

I'll be a hero to the birds,
They'll listen to my honeyed words,
I'll be a hero to the plants,
And I'll give nature a chance,

I'll be a hero but not in battle.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What people in our world do you think are heroes, but not in the way one would be stereotypically considered  a hero?

The Little Pony (A Valentine's Day photo shoot)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone,

Instead of going for the traditional tragic love story for my Valentine's Day themed photo shoot (which I may or may not do next year...because why not?), I instead decided to write a poem. This will be a photo shoot/Lyrical photo shoot in the theme of why I do this blog. It may not be romantic love, but I wanted to kind of thank my dolls and stuffed animals for being around me, since, I feel like they help me calm down when I'm stressed.

Anyway, on to the photo shoot:

Love comes in the strangest ways,
and on the strangest days,

Sometimes it comes as a way to release stress,
for sometimes it is for the best,

and it comes as a toy,
which brings a girl joy,

"she's too old to like that" some say,
but inside she knows she never is too old to play,

For imagination is a stress reliever,
and a life saver,

For if you have dreams,
then the world is no longer as tough as it seems,

you can go anywhere,
and people won't stare,

You can journey into the unknown,
set yourself onto a golden throne,

You will even fly,
and in that world it won't be a lie,
for you will be flying up into the pink and purple sky,

And then at the end,
after you reached the place where many heroes ascend,

you'll wonder how you got so far,
I'll give the answer but I promise it's not bizarre,

For it links back to that "ugly thing"
some girls commented she should have spent on a ring,

The pony toy,
which brought her joy,
even though it was but a toy,

For it could take her anywhere,
and become a wild mare.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Do your dolls/toys/stuffed animals make you feel more relaxed when you play with them? What adventures do you imagine with them?

Where the Fay Dwell (a Lyrical Photoshoot)

Hello everyone,
I hope you are doing well, I know the quarantine is hard. But to cheer you up, I have a lyrical photoshoot to present, I took the photos beforehand and decided to write the poem later.

So here it is:

I know a place where the fay live,
it is near a cave,
with sparkling crystals that will make your heart lie still,

In the glenn,
which has been talked of by wise men,
the fay fly,
into the summer sky,

There are tales spun,
but of them none of them lie,
For if you believe: you will see the fay fly,

They hide in flowers,
they particularly like sun flowers,

But if you believe they may come near,
If you are sad they will wipe away a tear,

If you are happy, they will play a lyre,
They are the fay,
and if you believe they will surely come to play.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you have any favorite stories involving fairies? If so, I would love to hear in the comments. :D
